Region D Service Award
Awarded for the best service program by a chapter in Region D
Region D Leadership Award
Awarded for the best leadership program in Region D
Region D Friendship Award
Awarded for the best friendship/fellowship/brotherhood program by a chapter in Region D
Region D Scouting Service Award
Awarded for the best service to Scouting program by a chapter in Region D
Region D Historian Award
Awarded for the best preservation of chapter records by a chapter in Region D
Region D Outstanding Advisor Award
Awarded for a outstanding advisor of a chapter in Region D
Region D Distinguished Service Key (RDSK)
The highest honor the region may bestow upon a brother. Any APO brother may nominate another APO brother for this award, which recognizes a brother’s efforts in demonstrating the cardinal principles of Leadership, Friendship, and Service to the Region.
National Awards
Chapter of Excellence
The purpose of the Chapter of Excellence (COE) awards is to recognize chapters whose programs of Leadership, Friendship and Service promote growth, retention and stability for the active chapter, while providing a positive, inviting and educational environment for prospective and new members. This award is designed to promote better communication between the chapter, sectional, regional and national leadership through regular and timely reporting of chapter activities.
PLEDGE Program OF EXCELLENCE
The Pledge Program of Excellence award is to recognize chapters whose programs of Leadership, Friendship and Service promote growth, retention and stability for the active chapter, while providing a positive, inviting and educational environment for prospective and new members. This award is designed to promote better communication between the chapter, sectional, regional and national leadership through regular and timely reporting of chapter activities.
Josepth Scanlon Certificate
At the close of each fiscal year, Alpha Phi Omega presents the Joseph Scanlon National Certificate of Merit to active chapters who have experienced total membership growth. Recipients must have reported membership growth in one of the following categories between the last fiscal year and the year prior:
• Category A – Report 15 or more active brothers after having reported fewer than 15 the year prior
• Category B – Report a net growth of at least five active brothers after having reported a total membership between 15 and 50 the year prior
• Category C – Report a net growth of 15% after having reported an active membership of 51 or more the year prior
A chapter bestowed this award is committed to the development and expansion of the Fraternity and plays an active role in supporting the Fraternity’s Strategic Plan.
